Sajid Khan’s latest release, Humshakals, is still far from the magical 100-crore mark, having managed a 50-crore domestic gross till date.

The film- maker, however, wasted no time in throwing a success party in Mumbai on Tuesday.

While cast members Riteish Deshmukh, Ram Kapoor and Esha Gupta turned up for the do, Saif Ali Khan and Tamannah Bhatia gave the party a miss owing to prior commitments.

Bipasha Basu, who has fallen out with producer Vashu Bhagnani for not promoting the film, was also missing.

Dressed in a red outfit, Esha made a stunning entry and was all smiles for the shutterbugs. Her last outing in Prakash Jha’s Chakravyuh had failed, so Esha was naturally elated about the success of Humshakals, in which she portrays a doctor at a mental asylum.

The slapstick comedy is about the confusion in the lives of three sets of a trio who look identical.

Producers Vashu Bhagnani and Fox Star Studio sold the film’s satellite and music rights for Rs.45 crore. The film also boasts of garnering a huge opening week collection of Rs.40.13 crore, which ranks after Jai Ho ( Rs.60.68 crore), Gunday ( Rs.43.93 crore) and Holiday ( Rs.41.32 crore) on this year’s charts.

Riteish, dressed in a green kurta, has also been busy promoting his upcoming film Ek Villain these days. The actor is excited about his negative role in the film.
