Ek Villan box-office: Mohit Suri’s film enters the 100-crore club

Mohit Suri’s ‘Ek Villain’, has finally hit a ton after two weeks of run time at the theatres.

This is the director’s second 100 crore in a row, after the success of Aashiqui 2. According to a report, Ek Villain had opened to an overwhelming reponse of approximately 16 crore on Friday, June 27. And went on to cross 50 crore mark over the weekend.

The coming week, Ek Villain had little competition from two new releases – Bobby Jasoos and Lekar Hum Deewana Dil. According to trade expert, Taran Adarsh, Ek Villain had touched 99.58 cr nett on Wednesday itself, and the 100 crore number wasn’t too far to achieve.

This is for the first time that Mohit Suri worked out of the comfort zone of the Bhatt camp. With Ek Villain, Sidharth Malhotra has successfully entered the 100 crore club. While for Riteish Deshmukh, this film is his third to touch the glorious mark of 100 crore. While the cast has already partied hard for the film’s success, it seems that yet another party is in the pipeline, for the glorious ton.
