Bollywood’s latest releases ‘Bobby Jasoos’ and ‘Lekar Hum Deena Dil’ have failed in the weekend Box Office test as ‘Ek Villain’ continues to dominate the BO ticker.
While, Vidya Balan’s ‘Bobby Jasoos’ collected Rs 7.58 crore in three days, Kapoor-lad Armaan Jain’s ‘Lekar Hum Deena Dil‘ could manage to collect a mere Rs 1.6 crore.
Meanwhile, Ek Villain, now in its second week, collected a whopping Rs 16 crore bring the grand total to Rs 98.88 crore.
Actress Vidya Balan, who is facing her third consecutive flop after ‘Ghanchakar’ and ‘Shaadi Ke Side Effects’, is still banking on word-of-mouth publicity which made her last hit film ‘Kahaani’ a superhit.
“Every film is unique and each film has its own destiny. We all have worked hard and now it’s up to the audience. Women centric films have a slow start, but what is encouraging is that ‘Bobby Jasoos’ had a great start,” said the 36-year-old.
“We are hoping word of mouth really pulls it off. Besides, there is a huge jump in the numbers. Hopefully, it will be growing. I am happy about the film we have made,” she added.
