Now that the obese Arjun Kapoor has turned into the rugged hero of Bollywood, he often credits his success to Salman Khan who encouraged him to turn actor. Not ending at that, Arjun Kapoor will now be doing a song in his upcoming film Tevar which will be dedicated to his mentor Salman Khan.
Arjun Kapoor will be seen playing the role of Salman fan and the actor’s introduction song in the film will have lines like ‘Main toh Superman Salman ka fan, jo leve mujhse panga, kar do mein uska band’. Arjun Kapoor believes that these lines will pay a kind of homage to Salman Khan since he played a very important role in making Arjun the star he is. In fact, producer and Arjun’s uncle Sanjay Kapoor too is in complete support with his nephew and stated that his character Pintoo in the film is also a huge fan of Salman and some of his traits resemble the real life Salman Khan. Pintoo is said to be bindaas, tough, and very lovable. The song in question is said to represent the relation that Arjun’s character share with his friends. This song is choreographed by Remo D’Souza and the music is composed by Sajid-Wajid. It is also said to capture the essence of Agra where the film is being shot.
Tevar also stars Sonakshi Sinha and Manoj Bajpayee. The film will have Shruti Haasan doing an item number along with Arjun Kapoor. It is the official remake of the Telugu blockbuster Okkadu which starred Mahesh Babu, Bhumika Chawla and Prakash Raj in prominent roles. Produced by Sanjay Kapoor, Tevar is slated to release on January 9, 2015.
