Akshay Kumar has said he would like to play more negative characters in his films.
The actor, who made his mark in the Hindi film industry as an action hero, played a conman in Special 26, blind bank robber in Aankhen and portrayed an entirely villainous character in the 2001 film Ajnabee.
“I want to do more villain roles. The first two-and-a-half-hours he (villain) gets to enjoy and last five minutes he gets beaten up”.Kumar told.
“It doesn’t matter who beats me up as long as I can enjoy the first two-and-half-hours and the poor hero is slogging.”
Kumar has said however that martial arts remain his first love.
The actor plays an army intelligence officer in his next film Holiday: A Soldier is Never Off Duty.
